Third Party Bots
All bot usage is considered unauthorized and thus a community guideline violation, unless the bot is directly approved by the web services team in the proper channels. If you are interested in obtaining authorization to have a bot in a Discord Server or Group, please go to the Development Server and file a bot approval ticket, so that staff can work with you to ensure that the integrity of nUSA-owned discord servers and groups are protected.
For nUSA-Affiliated Servers (such as nUSA-owned discords/groups, or businesses without teams or political parties) that are not owned by the group, none of your bots are permitted within any nUSA owned discord server or group without prior authorization from web services. If it is determined that you are conducting actions without approval, all associated members of unauthorized bot usage will face disciplinary action and subsequent bots will be removed. Bots may not spam-message its members, and mass-messages may only be sent once every 12 hours.
Currently, the ONLY authorized automated programs or bots are ServerStats, Ticket Tool, Ticket Bot, Rover, Dyno, RoleSync, Clan Lab† or bots solely used for music purposes. If you are in a nUSA-owned server and you notice that a server has an unauthorized bot, please file a moderation server ticket under Miscellaneous.
†In relation to Clan Labs, only agencies/groups that already have clan labs set up, whom are authorized by Group Management to have it, should have Clan Labs at this time, any future requests to have Clan Labs must be done through Public Outreach, but eventually Clan Labs will be replaced.
Hosting Services
The creation and deployment of third-party websites is considered unauthorized and thus a community guideline violation unless the website is directly approved by the web services team. If you are interested in obtaining authorization, please follow the steps above.
Third-party websites must prioritize security measures and comply with relevant legal requirements, including copyright laws, privacy regulations, and terms of service agreements of the platforms involved.
Third party websites are to be considered nefarious unless proven overwise to the web services team. There is a large risk of abuse, harassment, exploitation, copyright infringement, privacy violations, doxing, or other legal concerns that the Group Management team does not want to open anyone up to. Protecting our members’ privacy and safety is paramount, and we must take proactive measures to mitigate these risks.
If you have any questions, concerns, or doubts about anything stated in this policy please open up a ticket with web services PRIOR to implementing any type of bot or website.
